World Schools Debating Championships

In February 2009, over 300 high school students aged 16-18, representing more than 40 countries from every continent will arrive in Athens for ten days of debate competition. The participating students will have trained and competed for months in advance to secure their place on their respective national teams.

Transportation Information for Participants, Staff and Volunteers for the 2009 WSDC
The handbook covers three sections:

1. Transportation from the Airport to the Hotel.
2. Daily Transport to the local tournament venues.
3. Transportation from the Hotel to Athens Special Sites and Venues.

On behalf of the World Schools Debating Championship 2009 Organising Committee it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 21st WSDC to be held in Athens from the 9th to the 19th of February 2009. Students, coaches and adjudicators from more than 40 countries will be gathering in Athens to participate in a series of debates concerning world issues. The World Schools Debating Championships celebrates and exemplifies the achievements of youth in the global community who strive to make the world a better place through open articulate communication and shared experiences. Your presence will add to the exchange of ideas in this effort to empower youth to enhance critical thinking skills as they become active citizens and advocates for themselves and their communities.
